Build Your Brand

It's vital for each and every company to have a positive connection with their target audience. How about each and every person? How are you connecting?

Many of us are participants on Social Media...but have you ever thought about what you are portraying to others? How do they think of you based upon your posts, feedback, follows and likes. Most people are quick to judge, or even worse...quick to unfollow, unfriend, or simply hide you from their newsfeed. The way you are on social media, should be how you are in the real world. It's an extension of you, it is YOUR BRAND that you are developing. Does your message and your brand attract, or repel. Is it overbearing with political post after political post? Is it constant complaints about your commute to work, living in your cubicle, or pics of every single thing that you eat? Think about it... It's YOU... You are your own Brand.

So just like major companies like Apple, Under Armor and Starbucks, we all should be thinking carefully about how we are perceived. Doors will open for you and doors will close based upon perception. I don't know about you, but the more attractive, fun, appealing, funny, adventurous, unique your brand becomes, the more opportunites arise.

As an entrepreneur, I am always looking to build my personal brand. I also look to surround myself with positive people, who are going places. The people that I choose to work with, and the most successful people I know, all have something in common. Each of them attract, they edify others, and they win. That's the recipe for a winning team. That's a brand that has unlimited growth potential along with the foundation for longevity. That's what every successful company is working towards. However, the team is only as good as it's individuals. So my advice is to build your brand as an entrepreneur, and build your audience around the fundamentals, beliefs and goals that YOU choose to live by.
